What is Digi Learn?

Digital Hub 2The term ‘digital literacy’ encompasses a broad range of skills which assist a person to be able to use technology and be an active participant in the digital world. This includes everything from how to use digital devices, online government services and internet, through to learning more about online safety, podcasting, 3D printing and robotics.

Digi Learn at the Library is a series of programs and events focused on building these skills from the absolutely beginner to intermediate level. All sessions are free, and can be booked throughout the year.

Children’s Digital Literacy Programs - accordion

Children’s Digital Literacy Programs

Robotics and Digital Literacy Programs are available for schools within the City of Charles Sturt Council (during school term only)

Please contact our Digital Literacy Officer for more details on 8408 1333.

 

Geek Sc#ool (9-14 years)

Geek just got cool! Not your average school. Learn, play, and interact with new gizmos, gadgets, robots, coding and tech.  

Run fortnightly Mondays after school from 3:45-4:45pm.

Civic Library – Digital Hub

Bookings are essential and you must commit to all five sessions.

 

Minecraft (9-14 years)

Dive into the world of Minecraft! Build, mine and stockpile in creative mode and fight mobs and the ender dragon in survival mode. Sessions are suitable for beginners or experienced players. Play takes place on the library session.

Run fortnightly Mondays after school from 3:30-5:00pm.

Bookings are essential for each session.

 

School Holiday Programs

Digital programs are offered as part of the wider school holiday programs in the libraries. Bookings are often essential for these very popular sessions. Please see our School Holidays page for more information.
