Coast Park Update

9 August 2021

We are pleased to announce that a final design for a shared-use path and associated landscaping has now been approved for the next stage in the State Government's Coast Park initiative.

The 4.8 kilometre section between Grange and Semaphore Park is the last remaining section of the Coast Park project and following extensive consultation under the Linear Parks Act 2006, a Linear Park has been established between Third Avenue, Semaphore Park and the northern edge of Wara Wayingga-Tennyson Dunes Conservation Reserve (Stage One).

The City of Charles Sturt Council have been involved throughout this critical design phase to ensure it meets our Council and community's requirements.

We will provide updates on both the timelines for the construction of Stage One and progress on a possible Stage Two as this information becomes available.

To find out more about this latest update to the project, and to view the Coast Park Stage One plans and visualisations online, please visit the project website at https://plan.sa.gov.au/news/article/2021/linear_park_semaphore_park_to_west_lakes_shore_stage_one_plans_finalised or scan via QR code:
