The outstanding work of local community group Rosetta Street Greening has been showcased on ABC program Gardening Australia.
The volunteers came together six years ago to rejuvenate the greenspace around West Croydon train station and the project has expanded ever since.
We’ve been proud to support the group over the journey with plants, mulch and other materials to help them beautify the area.
It’s a fantastic example of how local community groups can bring like-minded people together while making a real difference in the community.
“It makes my heart sing,” City of Charles Sturt Mayor Angela Evans said.
“It’s an exemplary model of how people who’ve got great ideas to strengthen their community through social connectedness can get together and do that through gardening.”
