Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

11 December 2020

We've collaborated with the Cities of Marion and Port Adelaide Enfield to provide electric vehicle charging stations to our communities, with provider JOLT rolling out a suite of free, fast charging stations across our City from early 2021.

Each charging station will be powered by 100% local, green energy, contributing towards a zero-emission future, and users will be able to get 7kWh for free which is approx. 15 minutes or 45 kilometres of range.

The functional and sustainable charging network will be integrated into old infrastructure and will feature interactive displays that will provide engaging content including the weather and news headlines.

“Electric vehicles are the way of the future, as we move to more sustainable transport infrastructure within our City,” Mayor Angela Evans said.

“The installation of electric vehicle charging stations will further support our Charles Sturt community to consider more environmentally friendly means of transport into the future.”

Over the next 5 years we're looking to have a minimum of 15 sites within our City which will further contribute to supporting the work of our Net Zero strategy, working towards climate change mitigation and reducing our greenhouse gas emissions within our City.

A dedicated map of EV Charging Station locations will be provided in the new year.
