Consultation with our community in September 2022 revealed that 72% of participants were supportive of the proposed new playground in Montgomery Reserve, on the corner of Gaskin Road and Weemala Street, Flinders Park.

We are now inviting your feedback on the draft concept design for the new playground, as informed by the feedback you shared with us about how you use the reserve, who you visit with, and what features you or your family might like to see if the playground was supported.

Consultation closes at 5pm on Monday, 27 March 2023. Head to Your Say Charles Sturt to see the draft design and to share what features you like the most.

Stage 1

We are currently seeking initial feedback from our community regarding a proposal for a playground at Montgomery Reserve, Flinders Park.

Montgomery Reserve stretches from Kanbara Street to Weemala Street in Flinders Park, along the River Torrens Linear Park and currently includes grassed areas, garden beds, numerous trees and the shared bicycle and pedestrian path.

Following requests from the community, we allocated funding in our 2022/23 budget to investigate the development of a new playground.

The grassed area at the intersection of Gaskin Road and Weemala Street has been identified as the potential location for the proposed new playground. We are seeking to understand if you support the proposal, how children may use the playground and what features you feel would be most enjoyed.
