COVID-19 Update

Given the unfolding situation relating to COVID-19 in Australia and across the world, here at the City of Charles Sturt we want to be proactive and clear about how we can stay healthy and are making changes to the way we do things. We will continue to provide updates to the services and events that are impacted along with the latest information and recommendations from WHO, SA Health and the Government.

$2,000 grants available

We’ve opened a special round of our Westside Place Makers Grants to enable local creatives to think outside the box and deliver projects through digital platforms, or safely under social distancing restrictions.

Grants of up to $2,000 will be available to create projects that contribute to art, culture, wellbeing or place making for the community during COVID-19 restrictions.

For this round of Place Maker grants we are looking to support:

  • Local artists
  • Creatives
  • Freelancers
  • Small businesses affected by COVID-19

Grant funding can be used towards projects that will provide art or culture to our community online or in a visible public space during COVID-19. It can also be used towards any/all relevant costs to your project, including artist fees, digital and online materials or tools to create the new broadcast or streamed activity, registration to online streaming tools, promotion of the activity, materials required to deliver the activity or development.

Applications close Sunday 17 May.
