Microsoft Office Bootcamp Program 2019

Attend our accredited Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) training at the Civic Library – Digital Hub and improve your digital work skills for today’s workplace.

Each term (ten weeks) a new certified Microsoft Office Specialist course will be available, along with a secondary course called ‘Digital Skills for the Workplace (Introductory)’.

Once this has been completed, we will then send you a link to undertake a brief digital skills test which will help determine which course best suits you.

Expressions of interest for all terms are now open.

Please note that spaces are limited for each term.

Microsoft Office Specialist Excel (Intermediate)

This 10 week face-to-face certified MOS program is designed to teach participants the highly sought after skills of Microsoft Office Excel 2016. Remote opportunities are also available for those looking to study from home (See Other Information).

9:30am – 3:00pm

Every Wednesday during term starting 30 January.

There is a 30 minute break for lunch (please bring your own). Morning and afternoon tea will be provided.

Digital Skills for the Workplace (Introductory)

This 10 week face-to-face program is designed to teach participants essential basic digital skills for the workplace and to bridge your journey to digital literacy in the 21st Century workplace.

9:30am – 2:00pm

Every Friday during term starting 1 February.

There is a 30 minute break for lunch (please bring your own). Morning tea will be provided.

Microsoft Office Specialist Word and Digital Skills for the Workplace.

Term 3 (July- September)

Microsoft Office Specialist Excel and Digital Skills for the Workplace.

Term 4 (October-December)

Microsoft Office Specialist Powerpoint and Digital Skills for the Workplace.

What happens when I complete my course?

What happens when I complete my course?

Assessment happens throughout the term and includes classroom knowledge checks, classroom projects and practice testing. For MOS accreditation there is a final exam.

Digital Skills for the Workplace also has classroom testing to enable you to receive a certificate of completion/attendance.

You are more than welcome to apply for further courses that will be offered throughout 2019.

Can I take this course from home?

Online accredited courses are available for MOS only. All of the training for MOS can be completed remotely. However the final certification exam must be completed in person at the Civic Library – Digital Hub. Minimum system requirements to complete this course from home include Windows 10 operating system, Office 2016 and internet access.
