If you are a preschool or primary school aged child who lives or studies in the City of Charles Sturt, you’re eligible to enter our annual book making competition, which has been running since 1979. Entries are open until Thursday 31 May 2018.
You can print the entry form here.
The Mayoral Make-A-Book Literacy Challenge is an extremely popular community program for budding young authors and illustrators. Last year, there were 633 amazing original entries, with 30 individuals and 3 class entries winning some wonderful prizes. It gives you a taste of what it is like to create your own book. It’s also a fun, creative way of practising study skills and processes you’ll eventually be doing at higher levels in school.
All participants are recognised for their efforts. Prize vouchers are awarded to the most outstanding entries. Teachers and parents are welcome to let us know about any special circumstances to be taken into consideration. Being involved is the most important factor!
* Binding style is not judged but make sure your book is strong enough to be handled.
(It is a requirement of entry to complete and sign the Mayoral Make-A-Book entry form)
Entries close Thursday 31 May 2018
