To celebrate National Youth Week the Annual Youth Expo offers 12 -25 year olds fun activities along with a wealth of information from over 50 stall holders covering further education, career providers, health services, youth services, sports and community clubs.

The City of Charles Sturt provides a range of grants, from funding young people to represent SA in sporting competitions to funding public space project ideas through the Westside Place Makers Grant Program.
City of Charles Sturt sponsors a team of 8 locals aged 15 – 24 to attend the annual YMCA Youth Parliament Program. Participants learn about public speaking, parliamentary etiquette, bill development, youth advocacy and work with us for the entire year to explore issues within a local context.

Your Say Charles Sturt is Council's dedicated community consultation website. It is designed so that you can contribute to some of the issues currently being considered by Council, from the comfort of your own home.
Western Worker With Youth Network (WWWYN) is a supportive network for workers and agencies providing services to young people across the Cities of Charles Sturt, Port Adelaide Enfield and West Torrens. The network’s monthly meetings provide an opportunity to collaborate and share information. WWWYN also has an email distribution list to assist information sharing across the youth sector.

YAC provides Council with a youth perspective on general community issues. It gives young people the opportunity to have a voice and discuss local issues, consult with other young people and provide advice to Council on issues that impact on young people.
The committee meets monthly and members receive information and training on council meeting procedures, local government, public speaking and event management.
Membership is open young people aged 12-25 that live, work or study within the City of Charles Sturt.
