Earth Hour

Earth Hour Lights out on Saturday 28 March 2015

At 8:30 PM, Saturday 28 March 2015, hundreds of millions of people around the world will turn off their lights for one hour, Earth Hour.

In previous years, the City of Charles Sturt has participated in Earth Hour by ensuring that non-essential lighting and electrical appliances controlled by Council at Council’s Civic Centre are switched off between 8.30pm and 9.30pm.

Council is proud to support a community Earth Hour event at Kirkcaldy Reserve – for more details see here.

More information on Earth Hour 2015 can be found here.

Participating in Earth Hour is a great first step; but go ‘beyond the hour’ and ‘switch off for good’ by pledging to make your energy use more Earth friendly by selecting renewable energy sources.
