 Immunisation Clinic - Moving

Immunisation Dec 2009 046Child and adolescent scheduled vaccines are available free through all Council clinics. Other vaccines are available to the public at a cost.

Vaccines outside the free list are available to be purchased at most clinics please ring 84081370 for availability of stock.

Please note our Immunisation service is unable to provide travel vaccines as per the 2013 legislation. If you require travel vaccines please contact your doctor or travel vaccine service.

Tuesday 10am - 12.30pm (Except for public holidays)
Thursday (only every first and third Thursday of the month) 4.30pm -7pm
Friday 10am - 12.30pm (Except for public holidays)

Limited pre-booked appointments available for Monday clinics only – in addition to normal drop in format. All other clinics remain drop in. Please contact the clinic on 8408 1370 for further information and bookings.

Immunisation Dec 2009 008Assessment of vaccination histories and scheduling of appropriate catch up vaccinations for this program will be attended within 10 business days of provision of all required information to our Immunisation Clinic. This information may be brought in to our Clinic during opening times.

Please bring all available written records of previous vaccinations for your child. This information will  be copied and assessed. We will then contact you to advise which vaccines are required and propose a date for clinic attendance.

If you have participated in this study in 2017/2018 and have not completed your two doses of vaccine, you may attend any clinic to receive this. No booking is required.

Meningococcal B Immunisation Program - Accordion

Meningococcal B Immunisation Program - From October 2018

The City of Charles Sturt will be providing the new state funded Meningococcal B Program detailed below, from 1 October 2018.

From 1 October 2018 the State Government funded Meningococcal B Immunisation Program will provide free meningococcal B vaccines to children and young people as they are at increased risk of developing meningococcal B infection.

Eligibility

From 1 October 2018 children aged 6 weeks of age up to four years of age  will be able to access free meningococcal B vaccine through immunisation service providers.

The meningococcal B vaccine will offered as part of an ongoing program for babies up to 12 months of age, with a catch up program for children aged over 12 months to less than four years from 1 October 2018- 31 December 2019.

From February 2019 free meningococcal B vaccine will be offered  as an ongoing program as part of the  School Immunisation Program for Year 10 students, with a catch up program for Year 11 students for 2019.

A catch up program offering meningococcal B vaccine will also be available through immunisation providers for individuals aged from 17 to less than 21 years of age in 2019.

Program vaccines

Bexsero® vaccine will be used in the childhood program.

Bexsero® or Trumenba® will be used for the School Immunisation Program and under 21 year old catch up programs.

Until this program begins, please visit your GP to access the Meningococcal B vaccine at cost.
