Volunteering
Charles Sturt would like to thank all volunteers who work tirelessy in the community for their continued efforts and support. Throughout National Volunteer Week 13th - 19th May, we will be recognising the work of council volunteers and encourage all volunteer organisations to do the same.
Our Volunteers contirbute to a vibrant community life. They encourage community independence and improve the quality of life of the community.
There are a number of activities that can be enjoyed when you become a Council volunteer.
- Friendly visiting, bus driving, shopping and transport assistance.
- Helping at special events, open days and displays.
- Assisting at Libraries and Community Centre activities, programs and administration.
- Youth Services programs.
- Graffitti removal.
- Gardening.
- Environmental projects.
- Animal management.
This is just a taste of some of the activities you could get involved in.
Please note that Volunteers can only be registered where a vacancy exists and the when their application has been successful.
