Personal Training Fitness Activities

Outdoor personal training and group fitness activities are very popular and are a great way for our reserves and foreshore to be used for a purpose that provides health benefits for our community.  Where these activities are run for a commercial gain, permission is required prior to commencement of the activity.  Some examples of activities that would require permission are:-

  • Gym sessions (with or without weights, fit balls, skipping ropes etc);
  • Boxing or pad training;
  • Organised aerobic activity;
  • Circuit training;
  • Walking & running;
  • A combination of any of the above.

Permission is granted under the Local Government Act 1999 and applications are assessed in line with Council’s Use of Public Reserves for Commercial Fitness Activities Policy.
