Disability Rights Advocacy Service Inc (DRAS Inc) is pleased to offer free and professional advocacy and representation for eligible members of the Charles Sturt community each Monday morning from 9.00am -12.00pm as part of its Commonwealth Government funding agreement to safeguard and promote the rights of people with a disability.

The service is only available by appointment.

For over 25 years DRAS Inc has demonstrated a commitment to individuals and their carers overcome barriers to programs and services through its Individual Advocacy Program.

DRAS Inc looks forward to continue serving the local community deemed eligible for services for matters involving but not limited to:

  • Centrelink – Benefits, Programs, Reviews and Appeals
  • National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) – Individual Plan Reviews and Complaints, External merits reviews
  • Discrimination
  • Education
  • Housing
  • Mental Health
  • SACAT (Tribunal) - Guardianship, Administration and Community Treatment Orders

People with disability be it physical, sensory, neurological, intellectual or psychiatric are encouraged to contact DRAS Inc if they feel their rights to access and equity are being infringed for confidential advice and or representation, free of any fees and charges. Access to interpreters is available at no cost to eligible clients.
